Meet Erin.

Erin is an American Special Educator with over 10 years of experience teaching in the U.S. and abroad in Indonesia, Mozambique, and soon Kenya. Having served as the Learning Support Coordinator and Department Head at two top-tier international schools, Erin brings a wealth of knowledge about the recruiting process and what employers are looking for. She can guide you through every step of the process, sharing valuable resources for finding job search engines, researching schools, and comparing teaching packages—helping you reach new heights in your career.

"After years of living a challenging life as a broke, single mother in America — juggling dirty dishes, long work hours, and trying to live on an extremely tight budget — I decided I'd had enough and began searching for a way out. Dreaming of a better climate and lifestyle, I turned to international schools, hoping to put my teaching certificate to use abroad. I had no idea what I was doing; it took a lot of research, faith, and bold moves. I was skeptical about making it work financially, but I was already living paycheck to paycheck, so I took a chance and accepted a middle school Learning Support Teacher position in Asia.

Luckily, and to my surprise, I landed at one of the top international schools in Asia! The moment I stepped off the plane, I was introduced to a lifestyle I’d never imagined—one of luxury, financial security, domestic help, respect, and professional growth opportunities—things that felt completely out of reach back home in the U.S. Teaching abroad not only proved incredibly lucrative for me and my daughter, but it also transformed our lives in ways I never thought possible. Suddenly, I was traveling the world, saving money, getting raises, taking my students on week long service learning trips, and living a life with nannies, drivers, and personal chefs! How is it possible that this lifestyle is so accessible, yet virtually unknown to my friends and colleagues back home?!? I had to spread the word!

So now, after a brief return to the U.S., I’ve decided to dedicate all of my time to helping other teachers leave behind the burdens of teaching in America for a more rewarding and balanced career overseas. There’s actually a whole community of expat teachers living and thriving overseas, and I'm here to guide and support other educators, like me, looking or a better lifestyle.

My Story.

"I am not affiliated with any recruiting agencies or any international schools. I am simply a teacher trying to help other teachers go after their dream of teaching overseas."
